In Twi the crab is called okoto. The Akan say the crab is hard to draw out of it's hole, but once out is a fierce warrior.
In Haiti, "ti crab" is a term of endearment or affection for a loved one meaning little crab.
This is part of a series to be auctioned to benefit Sheenway Schools in LA and Ghana.
